The new AIA “Framework for Design Excellence” is a resource comprised of 10 measures that support inspiring sustainable, resilient, and inclusive design. 

The Framework provides meaningful insight into each measure, including best practices, high impact strategies, resources, and case studies related to the Design for:  Integration, Equitable Communities, Ecology, Water, Economy, Energy, Wellness, Resources, Change, and Discovery. 

This presentation will provide attendees the relevant background of the Framework and introduce each of the 10 areas with a deeper look into select measures.

  1.  Identify the key drivers related to the development of the Design Excellence Framework;   

  2.  Recognize the “Top Ten Measures” of the Framework and become familiar with select design resources and strategies;

  3.  Benchmark your projects utilizing the Framework;
