Young + Wright Architectural’s (YWA) main office is in the City of Buffalo. We also have offices in the City of Rochester and the City of Syracuse. The firm was formed in 2003 by Jerry Young and Shawn Wright, who have been developing projects together for over 20 years. Some of our experienced staff members have been working closely together for over 10 years. These relationships have allowed the firm to develop a process for completing architectural projects, from beginning to end, in a manner that is efficient, accurate, and cost effective.

In our 16 years as a firm, YWA has completed hundreds of projects with a variety of budgets. These projects have been as simple as interior millwork replacements and masonry repointing, to complex multi-phase capital improvement projects across multiple buildings for public school districts. These projects have included a new transportation building, a natatorium addition, office renovations,  classroom and library additions as well as historic renovations and building envelope maintenance.

Our diverse team of more than 60 professionals can effectively navigate through policies and procedures set forth by New York State while effectively incorporating the client and end user’s needs to ensure solid and successful projects through the phases.

The LeChase / LaBella design-build team has been selected to build the Intelligent Cybersecurity Institute (ICI) for RIT! The new facility is a major addition to B. Thomas Golisano Hall on RIT’s campus. Preliminary plans call for a three story addition of approximately 45,000 square feet. It will house classrooms, instructional labs, simulation and training rooms, research labs, student collaboration spaces, community outreach space and offices.

Razak Associates completed the reconstruction of Brown Plaza, adjacent to the Albert W. Brown Building. The existing plaza on the north side of the pedestrian bridge was made of concrete surfaces at varying elevations. The plaza was in serious disrepair and needed to be reconfigured to create not only a friendly environment for pedestrian traffic and an informal gathering node, but also a safe, weather proof, and ADA accessible route between the Brown Building and Drake Memorial Library.
