Passero Associates’ Rochester, New York Office has an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Structural BIM/CAD Technician to join our Structural Department and work alongside a team of talented, outstanding professionals. The Structural BIM/CAD Technician provides production support for Structural Engineering building projects using REVIT and AutoCAD, including the preparation of REVIT models, engineering drawings of plans, elevations, cross-sections, and details of building structures from hand-drawn sketches and/or from general engineering design information according to established standards and procedures. Typical projects involve structural modeling and documentation on a diverse range of structural projects including commercial, municipal, institutional, and multi-family residential.  The candidate we seek must excel as a team player and work collaboratively with colleagues.


  • Responsible for day-to-day project support and coordination of structural requirements with architecture and other engineering disciplines

  • Provides BIM production support for Structural Engineering teams; including project model setup, development of parametric families and parametric content, primary discipline project work, and deliverable setup

  • Ensures the BIM Model adheres to all internal and client specific goals and standards

  • Performs drafting assignments, requiring advanced working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques

  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with other BIM/CAD Technicians, Engineers, and Architects


·     AA or BS in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field

·     2+ years of professional Structural or Architectural BIM-related experience, 5+ years of experience preferred

·     Entry-level candidates pursuing an AA or BS degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, with significant high school education specifically related to drafting, BIM, and architectural technology will be considered

·     Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD

·     Experience with interpreting and assembling construction documents

·     Involvement in multi-disciplined project coordination, a plus

·     Strong verbal and written communication and client service skills

·     Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Senior Architectural Designer

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited school (preferred)

  • Minimum 10 years architectural experience

Must be a positive thinking, team oriented individual; highly proficient Revit skills preferred. An Architectural Project Manager must demonstrate a solid understanding of the aspects associated with the successful execution of an architectural project including but not limited to; architectural design methods, code compliance, construction materials, production of construction documents, material procurement and construction administration. Must be attentive to detail and the production of high-quality architectural drawings.

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, proactive candidate for the position of Junior Architect to join our team. We are looking for a candidate with strong technical and production capability and a thorough understanding of current building construction. Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited school and have 2 years of experience working with licensed professionals.
